Each column ranks eleven abilities. AllThingsHow uses S, A and B only; its absent C and D tiers do not mean an ability was omitted. Ray Gun is absent from both lists and remains unranked.
Shared top picks: Hairball and Nine Lives
Hairball creates a slip hazard, while Nine Lives provides resurrection. Both guides put these two abilities in S. Their reported unlock costs are 12,000 Coins and 2,000 Coins respectively; neither placement establishes a guaranteed win.
Where the rankings disagree
Anchor has the largest letter gap: C in TechWiser and A in AllThingsHow. Hiss is S versus A; Dash is A versus B; Fluff Up is B versus A. These differences stay visible rather than becoming an averaged tier.
Shark Attack and Wind Shurikens are A in TechWiser and S in AllThingsHow. Stomp is C versus B, and Catnip is D versus B. Pounce is B in both.
How to use these lists
TechWiser values survival and reliable eliminations, placing escape-from-grab Hiss in S. AllThingsHow gives the ranged knockback bundles S and defensive Anchor A. The table records those judgments; the sources do not provide evidence for mode-specific tiers.
Compare ability effects, unlock costs and source-labeled cooldowns before choosing a loadout. The effect descriptions also have conflicts, including Fluff Up, so a higher letter alone does not settle how an ability works. See dated update reports for later changes.
